Raebareli is a city in Uttar Pradesh, India; it is situated southwest of Lucknow, on the banks of the River Sai, the main highlight of the city is a fort that was built during 1403, and the city is known for its architectural mastery, mainly those built in the times of the Mughals, and these include the palaces of the Nawabs and various Tombs. Located in the heartland of famous Awadh region, which was the part ancient Koshala kingdom. This town has close proximity to present state capital of Lucknow though the British created Raebareli in 1858. In the early 20th century the town was an important center of trade, and muslin and cotton weaving.
